Regulation Matters: Polyvagal Theory, Interoception and Emotional Integration
This immersive, live-online workshop, spanning five days (3 hours per day), illuminates the science and practice of regulation. LIVE ONLINE, June 4-8, 2025
“Regulation” has become a widely used term in clinical and educational spaces, but what does it truly mean? How does it shape behaviour, emotional well-being, and human connection?
This immersive, live-online workshop, spanning five days (3 hours per day), illuminates the science and practice of regulation. Participants will explore the intersection of Polyvagal Theory, interoception, and emotional integration—gaining practical tools to enhance co-regulation, relationships, resilience, and functional outcomes.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
Explain the neurobiology of regulation
• Understand how regulation functions at a biological level and its impact across different contexts.
Apply Polyvagal Theory in practice
• Grasp the core principles of Polyvagal Theory and their relevance in therapeutic and educational settings.
Implement Polyvagal-Informed interventions
• Learn adaptable strategies to enhance regulation and co-regulation for diverse populations.
Understand interoception and its role in regulation
• Recognize the neurological basis of interoception and its connection to emotional and physiological states.
Integrate sensation, cognition, and emotion for embodied regulation
• Discover how interoceptive awareness supports self-regulation and overall well-being.
Bridge theory to practice
• Apply interoceptive-based strategies to real-world professional and functional settings.
This workshop is an invitation to explore regulation from a deeply integrated perspective—enhancing both professional practice and personal insight.
Through a dynamic blend of theory, real-world case studies, video demonstrations, and collaborative discussions, this workshop empowers professionals to move from understanding to actionable strategies that create meaningful change.
Designed for professionals across diverse disciplines—including educators, therapists, healthcare providers, and those supporting individuals with neurodiversity and trauma—this workshop offers an inside-out perspective on regulation. Participants will also have the opportunity to deepen their awareness of their own regulatory processes to foster more effective interventions and authentic human connection.
